Bike
Welcome in the bike page! Here you can discover some of the most famous bike trails in our territory. Thanks to the geography of our land, sports like mountain bike, downhill, freeride and superenduro have become very popular in the last tens of years. There is a great variety of paths, with different levels of difficult and speed. In this page we show you four tours that you can visit in the first six photos below.
If you prefere racing bike, you can organize several paths passing through the villages in the hinterland. We explain two different paths with a summary of the villages that you meet during the whole excursion. You can see some panoramas and particulars in the photos below, from number 7 to 26!
Cycling - Tour 1:
Starting from Diano Marina (or San Bartolomeo al Mare) we follow Via Aurelia until Andora; here we continue in the hinterland and we reach Stellanello, Testico, Passo del Ginestro, Cesio, Colle San Bartolomeo, Caravonica, San Lazzaro Reale, Chiusavecchia, Pontedassio, Castelvecchio, Oneglia and finally, Diano Marina.
When you reach the village of Colle San Bartolomeo there are a lot of possible options; you can modify the path above with other deviations. If you want to add some kilometers to Tour 1 you can continue towards San Bernardo di Conio (rather than go down to Caravonica) and then cross: Conio, Ville San Pietro, Ville San Sebastiano, Borgomaro and San Lazzaro Reale. When you arrive in San Lazzaro reale you can continue passing through the villages indicated above (Chiusavecchia, Pontedassio, Castelvecchio, Oneglia and finally, Diano Marina).
There is also another variance of Tour 1, that is the best option if you wanna do a path even more longer. When you reach San Bernardo di Conio, you can continue to Carpasio and approach the coast passing through: Montalto Ligure, Badalucco, Taggia and Arma di Taggia. This last variance is completed by the amazing coastal bike path with 100% sea view from Arma di Taggia to San Lorenzo. In san lorenzo the bike path is finished, and you can continue on the Via Aurelia towards Porto Maurizio, Oneglia and finally Diano Marina.
Cycling - Route 2:
Starting from Diano Marina (or San Bartolomeo al Mare) we continue in the hinterland passing through Diano Castello, Diano Arentino, Grillarine, Monti, Chiusanico, Torria, Cesio, Colle San Bartolomeo, Passo del Ginestro, Testico, Stellanello, Andora and San Bartolomeo al Mare.
There are several paths that you can enjoy when you're in Passo del Ginestro; from this area, for example, the route indicated above can be varied following the streets that go down to Alassio or Albenga. These are two coastal villages: when you are in Alassio or Albenga you can continue Via Aurelia until San Bartolomeo al Mare.
